Free Energy Up-date - January 4, 2013

Here we are at the beginning of 2013! So, before I forget, I just want to thank each and every one of you for your support and your interest in this Newsletter. You are the ones who make it possible for me to do this work on a full-time basis. For all of you new people, I'd like to take a few moments to review what my goals are and what I am trying to achieve.

This Newsletter is about FREE ENERGY technologies, for the most part. My definition of FREE ENERGY is "any energy that is freely provided by the Natural World." Obviously, the cost of the equipment needed to convert these energy manifestations into useful forms is not free. What IS free is the on-going cost of extracting the energy once the equipment is in place. Also, I am not talking about "impossible" machines that run with no energy source, such as the falsely maligned "perpetual motion machines."

For all practical purposes, the Natural World is in perpetual motion. Whether that is the sun rising and setting, the wind blowing, the temperature rising and falling, water evaporating and dropping as rain on higher ground, electrons spinning around the nucleus of an atom, or even the earth spinning around the sun, absolutely EVERYTHING is in motion. So, REAL free energy technologies simply work with one or more of these natural events of "matter in motion" and convert some of that energy into a form we can use.

The problem has been to commercialize a technology which taps a natural energy source that is available everywhere, all the time. Wind and Solar energy are not available all of the time. Hydro power is not available in every location. The purpose of my website at http://www.free-energy.ws is to draw your attention to other possibilities for gathering energy from the Natural World. The purpose of this Newsletter is to draw your attention to current developments that support that goal or alert you to other trends that I believe are important to be aware of.

We are surrounded by abundant amounts of energy, even though many of these sources are present in vast quantities at low concentrations. The "heat" of the ambient air is a perfect example. Nikola Tesla believed that the heat present in the air, which he called "degraded solar energy", was the largest, untapped energy source on the planet. He believed it represented more energy than all of the coal and oil combined. On a warming planet, this seems to be the ideal energy source to tap into. In previous newsletters I have discussed using "compressed air" technology to access this heat to provide extremely cost-effective heating and air-conditioning effects. There is even a way to produce an engine that runs on this ambient heat and produces mechanical energy. These are the kinds of "low tech" solutions I am looking for and working toward.

Personally, I think 2013 is going to be a "break-out" year for energy alternatives. More and more people are waking up to the hundreds of ways the Natural World is in "perpetual motion" and willing to provide for our energy needs in low-cost ways.

GRAVITY LIGHT

Gravity Light is a good example. It's the brain-child of Martin Riddiford and Jim Reeves, two product designers who live in London. Their goal is to free all villagers in remote locations of the world who currently use kerosene fuel for lighting at night. The Gravity Light does not require any batteries, solar panels, or any other source of energy. It operates like an old "grandfather clock" where large weights are lifted periodically to run the mechanism. Lifting the weight takes about 2 seconds, and it runs the light for about 30 minutes. It also has external electrical connections so it can be used to power other lights or even charge batteries and cell phones. They are working on perfecting their design and getting the price down to about $5 a piece. With super bright LED lights, it's a great way to let Nature light up villages all over the world.

THREE DIMENSIONAL PRINTING

3D printing has been around for about 30 years, but it is approaching its "coming of age" event like the computer did when the first Personal Desk Top units arrived. 3D printing, sometimes called "additive manufacturing," literally allows you to create complex three dimensional objects from digital data. Machines that do this are getting smaller, prices are coming down, and more and more types of materials are able to be printed. Currently, there are units that can print steel, glass, copper, plastic, electrical circuitry, titanium, and dozens of other materials. There are "home units" that cost as little as $300. For a little more, you can print hundreds of different plastic toys or even metal jewelry. In the latest breakthrough, FORD has just produced a reasonably priced unit called the "Makerbot" for manufacturing industrial components.

What this means is that the costs associated with "niche manufacturing" are about to drop significantly. It is also predicted that the economic advantage of the low cost of manufacturing products in foreign countries is about to disappear. Within 5 years, the economic impact of 3D printing as a manufacturing method will be radically altering the world the way marketing products on the Internet did 10 years ago. This is going to be a gigantic trend and it could be used to radically lower the cost of alternative energy devices as soon as some entrepreneur figures out how.

MILITARY DRONES IN THE SKIES OVER THE UNITED STATES

In contrast to these amazing solutions that are making this world better, cleaner, and more efficient for everyone, there is also the trend that our "private lives" are disappearing. As of January 1, 2013, a situation that has been reality in other parts of the world, is now becoming a reality here in the USA.

A new law has just come into effect that allows the US military to fly surveillance flights of un-manned aircraft in the territorial United States. The US Constitution states that the Army and other military forces have no jurisdiction inside the country, and cannot act as an internal policing power. Apparently, that legal boundary has now disappeared. This article, published in the The Guardian newspaper in the UK, is the only media attention this story has gotten. It deserves your consideration, even if you don't agree with all of the author's suppositions.

Here is an example of what US military drones are doing in other parts of the world. Many of you may agree that this is a legitimate form of warfare, but the ordinary people who happen to be nearby in these areas are dramatically traumatized by these events.

I do not presume to judge the "right or wrong" of the current ideological conflicts in this world. I only know that my heart longs for a more graceful way for us to resolve our differences, because these developments are affecting us all.

A FREE AND SAFE WORLD

All of my work to make FREE ENERGY technology available for everyone is based on the belief that a world can be built where we are all free, safe, honest, and caring, with open access to an abundance of the necessities for our lives.
